Oh that President of Southern...

In listening to the audio of the Together for the Gospel conference, I heard Mark Dever introduce Al Mohler as a good friend and hilarious conversationalist. This may be hard to believe considering Mohler's ernest cultural commentary. But as of today, I do believe it. Check out his take on Pinnochio converting to Islam.

"Honest, Injun Joe, all I desire now is the absence of all desire. Honest"

Now that's funny.

I'm glad you enjoyed his exploration of disney characters "converting"

Actually wordpress seems like a sweet deal, if only for the "current comments plugin" - it really redeems the medium

wordpress is another blog engine, a competitor to blogger. So, everything "under the hood" including server space that blogger provides us with, Wordpress does too. The difference being that some features are available (w/ greater ease) on Wordpress that are not (automatically) available on Blogger.

My favorite such example is the "current comments" feature that you can see at isaiah543. Look at the info bar on the right and the "Where the Action is" box.

You can read more discussion on the blog as a communication tool at my church's worship leader's blog here. We discussed the merit of the "current comment" feature in fighting the ephemeral nature of blog dialogue.
(because I linked to gorfchild I had to induldge in a little rhetorical exhibitionism)
